Here are some of the the pics that I was not able to post last time.
Makaylee's Graduation

This was so cute, the teacher had each child come up and introduced them (just like a real graduation). She then asked each child what they wanted to be when they grow up. Guess what Makaylee said? She said "When I grow up I want to be a MOMMY!" It was so stinking cute!

Night of "Rock Band" (check out some of these faces!!!!!)

This Girl is SERIOUS about her "Rock Band"!

These guys got pretty CREATIVE with their microphone!

Did I mention I LOVE ROCK BAND!!!!!

Its Official

YIPPEE!!!
Its official Jacob was adopted on May 19, 2009!!
Months ago I promised that I would post about my new nephew Jacob. Well here it is six months later and I am finally posting. I think that I subconciously did it that way, I didn't want to jinx this adoption.
I had the honor of being able to be there for the very special occasion. Once the court process was over a party was thrown for Jacob. Kristy and John have so many wonderful friends and family and I think every one of them came to that party.
I was in Utah for about a week. Not only did I attend the adoption of Jacob but I also was able to attend Makaylee's preschool graduation and attend a wedding for another Nephew. I forgot my camera for the wedding so I will have to try to get some pics later to post.
On Saturday after the wedding my Nephew Tucker and his girlfreind Mallory, Neice Ashlee, her husband Matt and their new baby and another Neice Tralee came to Kristy and Johns for an evening of ROCK BAND!!! ( I LOVE ROCK BAND!!!)
For so reason I am having a hard time getting my pics to post so I will post them tomorrow. Im tired and am going to bed.

New Art & New Furniture

At the request of many, I decided to let everyone know that we are alive and well........... the fair just about kicked my butt and left poor Kevin wondering if he even had a wife.

He did come and spend a little bit of time with me on Saturday and Sunday and we took a little while to go shopping in the commercial tent, something I haven't done in years and years (shopping at the fair, not shopping in general).
Here is a piece of art the Kevin and I both fell in love with and decided we couldn't live without. It goes great with our new freshly painted walls in "Our New Home" (see previous post). And of course once you find that perfect piece of art you must have furniture too....right? Bear with us on the green carpet, although its in great shape it just doesn't match the furniture and especially not the new art :). The carpet will likely be the next change. Im excited to be back blogging!!! I can't wait to see what everyone else has been up to.

"OUR NEW HOME!"

Kevin and I have moved! Here are some pictures of "Our New Home" (well actually it is a cute two bedroom apartment, but to us it is"OUR NEW HOME!" We weren't looking to move but we had an awesome opportunity to live here and take care of the property while the owners go on a mission.

Find A Penny!

How does the saying go.......Find a penny, pick it up, all day long, you'll have good luck!!!

I had the most interesting thing happen today. I was at the Chevron getting a morning treat. As I was walking out of the store a lady whom I didn't know said to me "I think I'm supposed to give this to you." I looked in her hand and there was a penny. She made a comment about finding a penny but then she continued on with "I think I'm supposed to give it to the first person I see, and that's you!" I thanked her and took the penny, put it in my pocket and walked to my car smiling. I have rubbed the penny all day......I need all the luck I can get (especially at Fair time)!!
I'm not sure if that's exactly how it goes or not, was I supposed to be the one to pick it up for the good luck, or maybe, just maybe, because someone was kind enough to share her luck I get extra blessed! I must admit that small gesture made my day. :)

Reflecting on Important People

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "TheHokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the troublestarted! HEHE!

Something To Think About

A little 10 year old girl was walking home, alone, from school one day, when a big man on a black motorcycle pulls up beside her after following her for a while, turns to her and asks "Hey there little girl do you want to go for a ride?" "NO" says the little girl as she keeps on walking.

The motorcyclist again pulls up beside her and asks, "Hey little girl, Ill give you $10 if you'll hop on the back!" "NO" says the little girl again as she hurried down the street.
The motorcyclist pulls up beside the little girl again and says, " "OK kid my last offer! I'll give you $20 bucks and a big bag of candy if you'll just hop on my bike and we will go for a ride." Finally the little girl stops and turns towards him and screams out "LOOK DAD" your the one who bought the Honda instead of a Harley.......YOU RIDE IT!!!!!!!
WHAT................ did you think this story had a different outcome? Hey I didn't make this stuff up, it was forwarded to me! (hehehe, Thanks Jack, I have to admit I laughed out loud after gasping and holding my breath for a minute waiting for the outcome!) Oh and as far as the title "Something to think about!" You might think twice before buying a Honda instead of a Harley. Your kids just may turn their backs on you.......most definately "Something to think about"!! hehe :)
Just a little humor in honor of my "Big Man on a BLACK MOTORCYCLE" (YES A HARLEY!!!)
