Ok, so I promised to carry my camera with me at all times (just in case that winning photo presents itself)............I have kept that promise but I found out that without batteries the darn thing won't work. So today I replaced the batteries and I am well on my way to that once in a lifetime shot.....somewhere, sometime!

Since reading "The Message" (twice) I cannot believe how many opportunities for service have presented themselves to not only myself, but to Kevin too. Have you ever had a time when you weren't sure why someone had been placed in your path, you just knew that once they were you needed to help? Such has been the case this past week with two people. What is even more bizzare is that we have known these two for years and never really given them much thought, at least as far as asking ourselves "What can we do to help these two struggling people, each with different backgrounds, personalities, and circumstances? (I must admit at this point that there have been times that both people have seemed unhappy and harsh only to be interpreted by me as flat out "rude"). As we questioned our inner selves, we have found that the answers have come very clearly. We have made a sincere effort to make them both our friends. In doing so, we have seen a new light inside each of them, in fact we have found them both to have a side that we never dreamt was there.
Both have very different needs and we will do the very best we can to try to lighten their burdens, whether it means repairing things for them, helping financially if needs be, or just being a freind enough to listen and understand them. Sometimes a smile and a simple "hello" is worth a million dollars. Funny..........after each small gesture or act of service, I know I have felt like a million bucks!!!!!
If ever you feel like you are the only one that is down on your luck, you don't need to look very far to find someone that has things alot worse than yourself. THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO FORGET ABOUT YOUR OWN WOES THAN TO PROVIDE SERVICE (AND FRIENDSHIP) TO SOMEONE IN NEED!!!! I Guarantee, you, yourself, will be the recipient of happiness and blessings every time!

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

I have to tell everyone about this book. A freind recommended it to me, and once I started it (which happened to be about midnight one night, imagine that LOL) I couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing that night. I told Kevins Mom and Dad about the book last week and they have wanted to hear more about it every since. So tonight as we were visiting outside I felt the need to bring it up again. I grabbed the book and told them to come inside for "Story Time". Mom, Dad and Kevin agreed to let me read the book to them. We agreed that we would read a couple of chapters every night until we finished the book. We got to chapter 4 and I asked them if they wanted me to stop reading. Everyone said no, so on I read. 5 hours, and plenty of tears later we finished it. WOW! What an incredible book. I would highly recommend it. Every since I have started this Blog, I have done alot of soul searching, not exactly sure why, maybe its because I have set a goal to write a post (or journal entry, whichever way you look at it) every night. I find myself pondering all day about what I will write about. My hope is that in some small way my words will touch someone. Earlier tonight I recieved a phone call from a very special someone, telling me that one of the posts that I wrote had meant alot to her. I'm learning that this is what it's all about, lifting one anothers spirits and sharing our incredible experiences with one another. Most nights as I prepare to write a post, I have no clue about the topic until I actually start to type. I hope that I am able to say things that are comforting to at least one person reading, as many of your blogs have comforted me, and some have definately gave me a chuckle. I LOVE STAYING IN TOUCH THIS WAY! Keep up the good work all! I know some of my posts are lengthy lately, and I haven't added pictures often enough. I will vow right now to carry my camera with me to get some good pics to add to my posts. One last thing before I retire to bed (again after 3 in the morning) I have a really good freind watching my blog that is in the hospital right now and I want her to know that I am thinking about her, praying for her, and wishing her a GREAT BIG GET WELL SOON!

The RS lesson went very well. I sometimes feel like when I give a lesson, that I ramble on about things that make no sense. I hope this was not the case today. This was way to important of a message. OK, one more song (with lyrics) tonight. This song "Every Breath" is also on my playlist (scroll down about halfway on my page and click the song) Im not sure why but these two songs have really touched me. EVERY BREATH His hands are catching your tears And even without any words, He hears You feel so far but He’s right where you are And He knows (Chorus) Every Breath, every Pain He knows your heart and He knows your name The giver of life lighting your soul Oh come home, come rest Let Him bless, your every breath (End of Chorus) Silent your voice and be still And even without any words you will feel You think you’re far but He lives in your heart And He knows (Chorus) Every Breath, every Pain He knows your heart and He knows your name The giver of life lighting your soul Oh come home, come rest Let Him bless, your every breath (End of Chorus) There’s no where you can go That He hasn’t been below (Chorus) Every Breath, every Pain He knows your heart and He knows your name The giver of life lighting your soul Oh come home, come rest Let Him bless, let Him bless your every breath (End of Chorus) I really need to get to bed at a decent hour tonight.....so goodnight all!

A couple of weeks ago, when all the family was here for Rodgers funeral, Danila was sitting on the couch playing on her computer, revising her Blog, and it began to play the most beautiful song. Sometimes you hear a song and it stops you in your tracks. The song is "The Makers Touch". (Click on the Playlist at the bottom of my page and click on the song). I have just spent the last hour trying to find the lyrics. I searched everywhere I could think of and still couldn't find them so I kept playing the song over and over again and writing them down. What a beautiful song. Here are the lyrics (just in case you want to sing them like I did). (First Verse)I watched the stars fill up the sky, a billion lights that testify, His hand is in all of creation. And there is no doubt He has made me, has given me life with each breath I breath, and I feel a debt to never forget Him. (Chorus) I am His child, made with His love and it is enough to bring me to my knees. He's reaching down and I'm reaching up and somehow I feel The Makers Touch. (Second Verse) Sun and the moon weighing His name, marking the path and lighting my way. All of these things given to me. So I will bow down for all of the earth and offer Him praise for my infinite worth, for all of the light He's given to me. (Chorus, twice). I am also studying for my lesson in Relief Society tomorrow. Its on Life after Death. I was supposed to give the lesson the same week that Rodger passed away but I didn't feel like I could do it then. My dear freind Julie, who happens to be a counselor in the Presidency, arranged it so I could still give this lesson when I felt up to it, and I appreciate her for that. There is so much growth in preparing for a lesson, especially one on this topic. Wish me luck!!!
